Ocean Prime Debuts “Prime Hour”

Special Menu to Showcase Hand-Crafted Cocktails

Dubbed by its creator as “sexy, sophisticated and fun,” Ocean Prime, the Modern American Supper Club, has opened its doors at International Plaza, 2205 N. Westshore Blvd.  Thanks to its pre-Super Bowl opening date, the restaurant has already become a prime attraction for residents, visitors and VIPs.  Now, Ocean Prime introduces “Prime Hour,” the restaurant’s happy hour, during which an assortment of appetizers and cocktails will be offered at special prices on weekdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

“Prime really says it all when it comes to our menu.  Our handcrafted cocktails are no exception,” says Brandon Davis, general manager of Ocean Prime.  “From the fresh-squeezed juice to our house-made sour mix, everything at Ocean Prime is expertly created with the highest quality ingredients.”  

The “Prime Hour” menu features three premium handcrafted cocktails including the Cucumber Gimlet, which is made with freshly muddled cucumber, lime and Bombay Sapphire gin.  Freshly squeezed fruit juice and the highest-quality spirits can also be found in the Black and Blue Mojito and Very Special Peach Crusta, also on the new menu.  To complement the cocktails, a special selection of popular appetizers including the Truffled Deviled Eggs, Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli and Tuna Tartar are available, in addition to four premium wine-by-the-glass selections.  All “Prime Hour” menu items are priced below nine dollars.  

The most popular cocktail ordered at Ocean Prime any time of the day is the Berries and Bubbles, according to Davis.  The restaurant’s signature drink highlights a mixture of champagne and Belvedere Citrus vodka topped with an assortment of berries marinated in Grand Marnier. Presented in a martini glass filled with dry ice, this hand-shaken specialty physically bubbles, giving the cocktail a unique, dramatic appearance.

In addition to five private dining rooms with seating for up to 44 guests, Ocean Prime features a patio terrace with outdoor dining and a 1,600 square-foot cocktail lounge. The retro elements of a supper club, reflected in the warm tan finishes and rich woods – all combined with contemporary styled sheer drapery, state-of-the-art lighting and granite bar tops – were designed to add to the warm energy of the restaurant.

Ocean Prime serves lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and dinner nightly: Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.; and Sunday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Reservations may be made by calling 813.490.5288.
